本プロジェクトのメルボルンのディレクター、ザラ・スタンホープ（インディペンデント・キュレーター）が、パートナー機関である、アーティストランオーガニゼーションWestSpaceの紹介と、メルボルンで進行中のPORT JOURNEY MELBOURNE-YOKOHAMAについての報告を行います。

交流都市ニ都市目、サンディエゴのパートナー機関である、アーティストランスペース THE PELISCOPE PROJECTのディレクター、ジェームス・A・イーノスを招き、サンディエゴのアート事情と、活動の紹介を行います。

象の鼻テラスがクリエイティブな街づくりを推進する世界各地の港町と、サステナブルな関係構築を目指すプロジェクト。文化活動をけん引する有識者を招きディスカッションを重ね、都市文化に触れる機会を創出する文化コンテンツをジャンルレスに展開。2011年9月にメルボルン（オーストラリア）、2012年4月にサンディエゴ（U.S.A.）との交流がスタートしている。今後は上海（中国）、ハンブルク（ドイツ）、バーゼル（スイス）、ブリストル（U.K.）などを予定している。
【登壇者プロフィール】
■ザラ・スタンホープ
メルボルンをベースにオーストラリア国内外で活躍するキュレーター、ライター。現在、国立オーストラリア大学の博士課程に在籍。メルボルンのHeide近代美術館の主任学芸員・館長代理、モナッシュ大学ギャラリーのディレクター補佐、ウェリントン大学アダムギャラ−の初代ディレクターなどを歴任。メルボルン発のアート批評誌un Magazine発行元un Projects主宰、ヴィクトリア州をアート・ツアーで結ぶNETS Victoria主宰、王立メルボルン大学アートギャラリー 顧問、オーストラリア・ヴィジュアルアーツ連合 顧問。ポート・ジャーニ・プロジェクト メルボルンのディレクターを務める。

Zara Stanhope, independent curator and director of PORT JOURNEY Melbourne, will introduce our partner organization, the artist-run WestSpace, and give a report on the PORT JOURNEY Yokohama - Melbourne project ongoing in Melbourne.

Tsutomu Okada, Yokohama’s project director, joins the other two directors for a three-way discussion on the future prospects of the PORT JOURNEYS.
*PORT JOURNEYS: A project by ZOU-NO-HANA TERRACE with the goal of building and sustaining inter-city relations through cross-cultural exchange among port cities of the world. The project encourages leaders and knowledgeable people from various cultural fields to engage in discussion and develop opportunities to involve various art genres with urban culture. Exchange was initiated with Melbourne from September 2011, followed by San Diego in April 2012. Other candidate cities include Shanghai（China), Hamburg（Germany) , Basel（Switzerland), and Bristol（U.K.).
PROFILE
Zara Stanhope
She is a curator and writer based in Melbourne, Victoria, and a PhD candidate at the Australian National University, Canberra. Her institutional roles have included Deputy Director and Senior Curator at Heide Museum of Modern Art, Melbourne (2002−08); inaugural Director of the Adam Art Gallery, Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand (1999–2002), and Assistant Director, Monash University Gallery (1993–1999).
She is Chair of un Projects, publisher of un Magazine; Chair of NETS (Victoria), and advisor to RMIT School of Art Galleries, and a National Association for the Visual Arts (NAVA) Mentor. Zara is the Director of Port Journeys Melbourne.
James A. Enos
James A. Enos is an artist, curator, educator, and researcher; formally trained as an architect with a background in manufacturing from Purdue University (BS 2001). His projects are rigorously interdisciplinary; beyond cultural production, the work can be read as quantifiable research within numerous theoretical discourses. Holding graduate degrees in both Architecture (M.Arch 2005 NSAD) and Visual Art (MFA 2009 UCSD), the locus of his work lies within the production of theoretical texts, stunningly complex models, and program-generated imagery. Primarily interrogating the built environment of North American cities, his efforts as Co-Founder and Director at The Periscope Project articulate a poignant critique of consumer vs. client culture and the spatial fallouts of contentious urban development hierarchies. These efforts provide a refreshingly critical contribution to a history of theoretical debate on utopianism in architecture and social artist practices, yet still, cultivate practical approaches towards policy intervention, community, and agency.
